NCARC’s Vision
Every Native Nation has a coordinated response to child maltreatment that honors their cultural values, empowers healing, and contributes to a healthy community.
What We Believe
Native Nations are sovereign and vested with the right to determine the best path for their people.
Tribes, as sovereigns, must be the arbiters when questions arise about the types of services that will best serve Tribal children and families.
Native Nations have the capacity to develop multidisciplinary teams and child advocacy centers to meet the needs of their communities.
Tribes know the consequences of child maltreatment in their own communities and are intensifying their commitments to community, family, and individual wellness in response.
Many non-Tribal service providers and treatment models minimize the value of holistic Tribal practices.
