Free Training Opportunity: The Advocate’s Role in the Multidisciplinary Response to Child Abuse 

Our partners at the Regional CACs are offering a free training for Victim Advocates: “The Advocate’s Role in the Multidisciplinary Response to Child Abuse. Intended for Advocates with less than five years of experience and/or Advocates who have not yet satisfied the 24 hours of training required by the 2023 National Children's Alliance Standards for Accredited Members, this four-day online training covers the 12 competencies set forth in the Victim Support and Advocacy Standard and fully satisfies the training requirement. Advocates who have previously met the 2017 Standard are required only to satisfy the additional three competencies included in the 2023 Standard, while advocates who have not previously met the Standard must document completion of all 12 competencies. The training is appropriate for Advocates working within CACs as well as those housed at partnering District Attorney offices or community-based organizations.
